| Both are located in one of those residential areas where adult establishments are not supposed to be. These children live in homes and apartments and attend schools less than one quarter of one mile away from these nudie bars. I wonder just how practical and tolerant our county commissioner would be if her family were subjected to this. ... |

I just can't get the tune "It's very hard Out Here for one Pimp" out of my head. It's the one that recently won an Academy Award for best original song. But don't for one second think I like the song, which is from the movie "Hustle & Flow." I can't get the music out of my head because in one larger sense, the accolades the song is getting represent another hustle that's going on in the black community. ... |

| My boyfriend and I have been together for almost two years. When we first met, I didn't care about him checking out other girls, but once I actually started to have genuine feelings for him, everything changed. I started to go crazy with jealousy anytime he wanted to watch porn—one feeling that I don't like at all, but it seems almost beyond my control. ... |

| Freedom to oppress |

One of the strategies of radical Islam is to use the tools of the liberal West against itself -- to use freedom to undermine freedom. It's one paradox, in the same way Adolf Hitler's first steps towards fascism were through one democratic election. That's the modus operandi of today's Islamic fascists, too. The 9/11 hijackers used Western freedoms such as mobility, lax security and Western technology. Al-Qaida despises the softness of our culture, but it is willing to use our softness against us. ... |

| Post on 14-03-2006. |
| This week the Supreme Court heard arguments in yet another campaign finance case. At issue is one Vermont law that caps not only how much people can give to one candidate, but how much one candidate can spend. The smart money is on one long, messy, complicated ruling that clarifies less than it confuses. Why? Because that's how we like it. Balance of Opinion ... |

| Companies cultivate ideas at 'Greenhouse' forum |
| Post on 12-03-2006. |
Either "partner with one Sugar Daddy company" or "do what the big guys like Google and Yahoo won't," or "do it faster than they can and sell it to them," was the advice from attendees at one workshop Saturday on business strategies for technology companies. Openomy, one two-person Chicago-based startup that offers one gigabyte of storage for free, was one of eight companies giving presentations at the Techdirt Greenhouse event, sponsored by Techdirt, one provider of market and competitive information to large corporations. ... |
